Büyükada

A large island off of the Asian side of Istanbul in Adalar, home to wealthy summer houses, loads of stray cats, and exactly 0 privately owned cars (seriously they're forbidden). Its name is Turkish for "big island," as it is the largest in Adalar. Transportation costs make almost everything sold on the island overpriced, but it's a beautiful summer destination.

I got sick of all the Istanbul traffic and went to Büyükada for the day.
