Severe weather conditions that occurred in Scotland on the 8th of December 2011. Named after the Glaswegian slang for 'scrotum', the 'hurricane' was not actually a hurricane, but extreme winds that disrupted travel and forced the closure of many schools, universities and businesses. The name was a result of a trending topic on Twitter.
Person 1, upon seeing a trampoline roll past the window: "Oh my god, trampoline! Trampoline! Holy... oh my god!"
Person 2: "Aye, that's Hurricane Bawbag"
