Call accounting is software or hardware that provides metrics for telephony functions such as traffic analysis, toll fraud alerts, network management and cost allocation to various departments. There are countless call accounting vendors that tout their various features and niches. Some specialize in professional bill back, others focus on the unique requirements of hospitality environments and others offer generic solutions for general business requirements

I use call accounting software to keep track of misuse and abuse of telephone calling.

A form of cheating in online strategy games where you join a game with multiple different accounts giving you a significant advantage.

multi-accounting

used to describe the practice of entering multiple accounts (screen names) into the same online poker tournament.

The sole purpose of multi-accounting is to create an advantage by offering one player multiple chances to advance to the later stages of a tournament where the significant money is.

The term was first widely used after high profile online players JJprodigy and ZeeJustin were banned by multiple online poker sites for the practice.

It should be noted that playing on an account other than your own is not in itself multi-accounting so long as it's the only account being used in the tournament or cash game.

ZeeJustin was banned from pokerstars and partypoker for multi-accounting the big MTTs.

Hollywood Accounting

The act of intentionally, maliciously, and unethically, screw someone out of compensation from rightful gains. It originates from the early days of film production when studios would use accountants to give credited actors/actresses and production crew the bare minimum amount of compensation based off of box office sales.

Actor 1: Hey, why did I only receive $15,000 for a key role in a film that grossed over $7,000,000!?

Actor 2: HA! Hollywood Accounting strikes again!
