Get the Bauld as a shtickmug. An corny comedy routine, joke, or gimmick, which makes reference to disco music or discothèques.
The genrè was first invented by Fozzie Bear on episode 407 of the Muppet Show; however, the phrase "disco shtick" was coined by Lady Gaga while recording Love Games. The name is an unmistakable homage to Fozzie Bear because Lady Gaga obviously recognizes that her music enjoys the same level of respect today as Fozzie Bear got on the Muppet Show. Either that, or Lady Gaga just wants to take a ride on Fozzie Bear's disco shtick.
