In sixties UK Jamaican Rudeboys, british Mods and Rudeboys grew up, lived and worked in the same areas and listened to the same music,mostly Ska and Reggae. This spawned the Original Skinhead Culture, which in the Beginning was not racist but apolitical and centered mostly around Football and music. Many Skinheads were Black Jamaican Immigrant Kids and Skinhead Gangs incorporating both, white and black members were not uncommon. Laurel Aitken, musical Idol and known as ''Boss Skinhead'' considered himself a black Skinhead and wrote the eponymous song ''Skinhead'' as a tribute to the scene.

Later with the Ska revival and the rise of Hardcore-Punk many second generation Punk Kids adapted a Skinhead-look. Today there are still black people in the Hardcore Punk and traditionalist Ska and Reggae scene who consider themselves Skinheads.

In conclusion,we can say that Laurel Aitken has been the most important figure of ska music.Also, he was the first black skinhead that was recognised, because in the 60´s being a black skinhead was considered wrong.

S.H.A.R.P. Skinhead

'Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice', Skinhead look, dress, style and attitude without the racist propaganda. Bottom line just proud men, proud warriors from where ever and whatever land they may be from.

I went to school with a Chapter Leader of S.H.A.R.P. Skinhead in Toronto, Canada and also met some members of S.H.A.R.P. while in England and can say they are some of the toughest & gnarliest yet respectful guys I've ever met. Thats saying a lot seeing as I'm from gang territory of Los Angeles.

skinhead

A guy or girl who believes in working class values and respects those who share the same beliefs. Not all skinheads have shaved heads, wear suspenders or wear boots, but these are good signs. Not all skinheads are racist, but unfortunately some are. They are "boneheads" to the rest of the skinhead world because of the blemish they have put on a proud group of working class kids. Skinheads are of every race, every religion, because it's not who you are, what race you are or any external factor. It's what is in your heart. Traditional skins look to their english and jamaican roots for their lifestyle and thier music (oi, punk, ska, reggae, rockabilly). SHARP (SkinHeads Against Racial Prejudice) skins are the democrats of the skinhead world, accepting all and defending thir way of life. A skinhead friend of mine once told me that he only fights for 3 things: his family, his friends and his honor. This is what is important to skinheads, not "protecting the white race" or to carry out Hilter's unfinished work.

It's something you are. It's not a style. It's not a fad. It's a way of life. Skinheads will live on as long as there fat cats in power who don't give a sh#t about the youth of today. We're proud, we're pi$$ed and we're here to stay.

sea shitheads

Boat ramming, black clad, sea faring idiots who are going to get somebody killed because they can't handle their boats. Led by Paul Watson they are into ramming, not sending distress calls when their own boats are damaged and endangering their own crews, endangering anyone who happens to be in the same area of ocean as they are, incompetent ship handling, and explaining it all away as "for the cause" which they disgrace by associating with it. Occasional tool of the Australian government who likes that they press other nations in international waters, and back Australia's false claim to them, in exchange for free harbor in Australian waters. Not too fond of the United States Coast Guard, unable to even get Prius buyers behind them using wiser conventional means of protest. Like to throw stuff and shine lasers in eyes. Don't like independent documentation of their action, which is why they kicked Animal Planet cameras off their ships. Once appeared on South Park.
