1. A stratovolcano (composite volcano)located in the Aleutian Range of Alaska. 9,000 feet high. Heavily glaciated. Erupted 5 times since 1900. Active for millennia.
2. Redoubt: a fortified place.

A short form of two chemical terms, REDucion & OXidation.

Redox is usually to describe a reaction with electron flows.

"2Fe + Cl2 → 2FeCl"is a redox reaction because iron's electron flows to chlorine gas.
