Nyx
A mythical creature said to inhabit caravan parks in the North Otago region of New Zealand.
It's shriek is described to be similar to the sound of two poodles mating.
Prolonged exposure to a Nyx is said to cause heads to pop.
It's droppings resemble charcoal.
While there is no universally accepted method of ridding an area of a prowling Nyx, it is possible to lure one away with heavy metal music and/or the scent of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
