Used to tell people to free Tibet, as Tibet is still captured by China, and Tibetans want their country back.
"Free Tibet!" An old Tibetan lady cried as she protested her sign to the Chinese Embassy. More cheers erupted from the crowd for a sign of mercy. Every March 10th, Tibetans come together and walk to the Chinese Embassy, all across the world, for a chance their country will be freed from the Chinese government. All they ever wanted was freedom for their family who cannot leave their own country. It's been 74 years since. Over 1.2 million Tibetans have died from the Chinese, torturing them deadly. The Tibetan youth born in Tibet have now been brainwashed into thinking many bad things about the 14th Dalai Lama and more. God please bless the youth and people in Tibet, and may Tibet be freed one day.

If your country is not a free country in a pandemic, it's not really an entirely free country, you're just being told it is a free country by the entity that controls your country.
Telling people they live in a free country is a good way to get them to comply with an agenda and turn them into obedient puppets. Nothing is free, you have to fight to get something. Compromise is a good way to lose who you are and any sense of rights that you have.

Because the outsider girl had had a free pass for so long, if not always, she didn't think she was a guest in another town, as not all guests are welcome. She thought she owned the place.

Former definition meant “at no charge at all” but in 2023, “free” usually means that you need to make purchases or spend a specific amount of money in order to get something, meaning it is not free.
