In the West are Conservatives that can be mistaken for being part of West Virginia. In the East are Conservatives of the Delmarva Peninsula. In the middle are the liberals of Baltimore and the D.C. suburbs. In presidential elections, Maryland is a safe democratic state. It has voted Democratic in every election since 1992. Maryland gives 10 electoral votes to the winner.
