As apposed to centered or balanced - Tilted is when your anger starts getting the best of you and becomes detrimental to your focus, thereby resulting in underperforming.
The angrier you get, the more tilted you become, resulting in a relative negative impact on performance.
When you are tilted, your basically being nudged off balance(your best game) from anger.

A device most commonly found in pinball machines or tabletop arcade games, that notifies the player when the machine is lifted or being pushed to gain an unfair advantage or cheat.
I tried to save my last ball by shaking the machine but the tilt detector caught me and shut the game off...what a drag.
