charmed

A show about the lives of three sister witches, originally: Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano). After Shannen Doherty was fired between seasons 3 and 4, her character Prue was killed off. The show replaced her with a long-lost half-sister named Paige (played by Rose McGowan). Charmed has been on the air for 8 seasons now, making it the longest running show of female protagonists.
Many have criticized the show for its changes in recent seasons. The show contains more innuendo and the women don skimpier outfits. Where the show was once focused on sisterhood it now shifts to the women's relationships. In addition, a new character named Billie was added to the cast for the 8th season. Many have objected to her addition because they feel not enough time is focused on the sisters.

Friend #2: Ha! I haven't watched that show since Cole and Phoebe were together. It's all gone to crap.
