Fortnite is a battle royale game made by Epic Games where you land onto an island, find weapons, ammo, materials and healing items to fight other people. It was really
popular in the early days (2017 to
2018) but started to stumble after season
5 because of bad updates (smg spam
meta, the new playground mode fucked the skill gap and the stink bombs). In season 7, Epic released planes and the infinity
blade, two very overpowered things that caused people to start leaving the game. The next broken update was in Season X (10), which gave
us the Mechs. They were stupidly broken and getting them meant getting a win. I'll stop here with the description I guess because quite frankly, the rest feels a bit boring.
Lots of people give the game hate, which is
fine. I can see where they're coming from. I think its because of the majority of the the fanbase: the typical cringey 9 year old or the ultra virgin who plays all
day. I still play Fortnite casually because I had a lot of good memories with the game and I enjoy playing it. The players themselves? Not so much. Most of the players are high skill, toxic or
annoying.
