two-room rule

A common occurrence in video games, where, due to RAM limitations, only the room that the player is currently in, and the previously-visited room, are stored in memory. A player can use the two-room rule to his advantage, causing a room to reset, and all enemies and items to respawn, by simply visiting two other rooms.

Player starts in room A.
Player goes to room B.
Player goes to room C.
Player goes back to room A. All enemies and items in room A have reappeared, due to the two-room rule.

Ghostbuster Rules

When a man is confronted with a piss trough (or communal urinal) upon entering the men's bathroom, this is the set of rules applied when urinating next to another man. In essence, as in the movie, crossing streams is forbidden.

"My buddies and I were getting thrashed at the local pub when I needed to take a piss. When I walked into the bathroom, I saw a piss trough mounted to the wall with another drunk a-hole pissin' the night away. After a quick glance, an unspoken agreement confirmed that the Ghostbuster Rules were in effect."

Rule one

Rule one refers to the first rule of deciding if someone is worth getting involved with: "Never put your dick in crazy". Other more gender-neutral ways of phrasing this rule such as "never invest in crazy" have been suggested, but the central meaning stays true regardless of phrasing.

A:"Oh man, do you think I should get with him?"

B:"No, chicka, he breaks rule one."

A: "Okay, not happening then."
