The origins of Paddy Hunting Day are nothing to do with the persecution of the Irish. The origins of the term date to June 24th 2008 when Patrick Sinclair of Stornoway, Outer Hebrides went out walking on a day he should have been rehearsing for a play. Regulated Paddy Hunting involves giving the subject a 20min head start and then pursuing them in a Skoda, preferably cross-country, rally style to the accompanyment of blazing horns.
Paddy Hunting Day taunting involes slapping the subject on the head repeatedly, poking them with the business end of a broom or running them over with a Skoda

A party celebrating the last night of freedom of a man before he gets married, but where another man steals the limelight/tries to convince everyone its his own party. The term is commonly used in the west of Ireland.
1) Wow! I'd say Barry was well annoyed at that Paddy Stag last weekend in Cork.
2) Jaysus, the DJ announced another blokes name instead of Baz! It must be Paddy's Stag!

1. Someone that starts fabricating heritage to Ireland around St. Patricks Day as an excuse to go party.
2. Someone that acts like they know the words to Irish Music while at the bar on St. Patrick's Day.

Look at that guy slamming back the green beer, he's a St. Paddy's Day Poser. He told me last week that he was Polish.
Yeah, I bet he thinks the ISH on end of Polish will pass as Irish.

It has been deduced that this song is referring to the killing of a police officer.
'Paddy' is a slang term for a police officer, and 'whack' is slang for murder.
The sound 'nick nack' is obviously reproduced from a mechanical weapon such as a catapult, trebuchet, or large crossbow.
Therefore it is a term for the murder of a police officer using a mechanical weapon.
