A cluster of private servers connected to make a Federation (Federated) network. Uncensorable due to not being hosted on a single server but many, the future of alt-tech.

Element is the chat service that uses the Matrix-Network, this network is federated ... i.e. the network is defined by a large amount of private servers that form the Matrix-Network. This is called a federated network, because it is not owned by a single party.
