cringe complex

a term to describe a negative thought process that causes you to stop doing anything due to the fear of cringe. This irrational fear can stop you from doing anything productive and can create personal mental barriers.
e.g. you don't want to talk to your family about your feelings because you feel it would be "cringe" which would then mean that you would avoid talking to your family about your feelings. A cringe complex usually causes a person to be depressed about their situation and not feel like certain options are ACTUAL options due to the fear of being cringe.

i can't be open with my family or friends because of the cringe complex I've created in my head.

A blend of the word cringy and amazing. Used to describe a situation or an event that makes you scrunch your teeth and gives you a feeling of bliss and astonishment at the same time.

Person 1: "and at the end of our first date we kissed each other in the rain for over 15 minutes."
