Get the Degeneratemug. Degenerate
Prefix: "De-"
from Latin, from dē (prep) from, away from, out of, etc.
Therefore a Degenerate is someone who has had taken away some quality that was present in former generations, or their younger self.
It's self-fulfilling because once "Degenerated," people often go on to further make poor choices in the preservation of themselves. I don't wanna speak evil of people's choice of baby-parent (parenting's hard enough, as it is) but whether through abuse, self-abuse, poor choices or luck; they degenerate into a worse, or simpler condition.
This can affect other people as well.
Sadly; the ability to retain their own problems diminishes and they become everybody's problem (not that discussing problems is always a bad thing).
Confessing the fear of Degenerates and Degeneracy might just save yer ass...

Get the Degeneratemug. Referring to a group of individuals that constantly wager against each other on anything that they can possibly bet on. Sports betting is usually the gateway but no bet is off limits. They wake up each morning thinking about their next bet and they go to bed with anger and regret that they lost all their picks. They always double down when they are losing because a true degenerate knows that’s how you’re guaranteed to win your money back. They also will flip flop on their picks just so they can bet against someone. In most cases, a degenerate will hide their gambling activities from their spouse or pretend they are betting $2-5/ game when it’s usually 10-20X. Furthermore, true degenerates will talk the most shit, win or loss and are known to be poor sports. It’s also not unusual for a degenerate to be accused of being a cheater by his fellow degenerates that are on the losing end.
