MySpace Noise

A derogatory term directed at bands/music artists that have become popular through MySpace. Usually, the bands will have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of friends on their MySpace account. In addition, these bands usually have #1 albums in the Billboard charts.

Person A: So, what do you think of Panic! At The Disco's new album? I think that it's the best rock album that I've listened to in a long time!

Person B: Panic! is not rock, it's MySpace noise. Listen to some real music for a change.

Art Of Noise

Art Of Noise were a brilliant group of musicians who made music from sampled sounds stored on their Fairlight sampler. Couple that with some synthesizers and a simmons electronic drum kit and the genius of J.J Jezalik and Anne Dudley, then you have the best sound your ears will ever experience.

Late 80's indie band from Hull who had reasonable local success on the coat-tails of the Housemartins though they sounded like a cross between the Redskins and New Order.
Released Thin End Of The Wedge in 1988 which was heard on John Peel

dolphin noise

not the physical act of a dolphin, but the noise a person can make when over exaggerating an inhaling, while closing your throat
the sound is a high pitched frequency that takes time to learn and master
it can be used to annoy people, in place of words, or just cause

it is imitated by an awkward throat back up, and words such as oi, eoo, wha, etc

so i was playing brawl, and i got (dolphin noise)
