Wombled

Slang for an individual searching the floor of a store for discarded discount vouchers. Derived from the 1970's British children's TV characters called Wombles who search out garbage on Wimbledon Common and make good use of the things that they find, things that everyday folk leave behind.

I wombled a couple of vouchers near the self service tills.

Wombwell

Place name: A small village in the English town, Barnsley. Once an old woman was shot in the face on the street, and some tramps got killed when they slept between automatic doors. This is the place where they make and distribute those known as 'chavs' or 'nesbits'.

Bert of the infamous duo "ernie and bert" has a hairstyle that may be accuratley described as a woobie.
