Red State

A state that has proven to be solidly Republican in voting for the President of the United States.
Typically conservative and rural in nature, not necessarily a new Republican stronghold.
Antonym: Blue State

Wyoming and Alabama are the reddest of the red states.

You can't even associate with an Atheist or a Liberal if you wish to win in a Red States.

A term that is used to descibe a even split in a state between democrat and republican voters.

Ohio is usually a purple state in Presidential Elections.

A yet-to-be researched psychological condition that affects a man when he becomes infatuated by a woman and can only think about how much he wants to have sex with her and how great that sex is. This tends to lead to many errors in thinking and lapses in reasonable judgment on the man's part. See fugue state.

A state (country) based around a single city and its surounding land. City states do not have defined borders and no city states exist in the modern world.

Babylon, Athens, and Sparta are all ancient city states.

Ball State

Alma Mater of David Letterman, Joyce DeWitt, Garfield creator Jim Davis, and Papa John's founder John Schnatter. Ball State is known for being the birthplace of the popular internet video which featured the phrase "Boom goes the dynamite!" Also, Ball State is known for having a terrible football team.

I would rather Ball U. (for Ball State University) than I.U. (meaning Indiana University)
