A person (typically a single girl) who is trying to be relatable by saying they are "awkward" and/or "undesirable" by others attractively. This is almost always used as humor, after an awkward moment or joke, someone would call themselves a potato.

Typically you will have a friend who is inexplicably attracted to a potato and spend an inordinate amount of time chasing the potato.Usually giving the excuse that she/ he has a great personality or attributes no one else can see

Get the POTATOmug. A word to be said when desiring to seem random or simply because you're unsure of what to say at a particular time. Technically does refer to the vegetable but the relevant use is not descriptive of anything more than boredom, anxiety or strangeness of character.
With nothing else coming to mind I simply announced 'Potatoe' to at least break the awkward silence.
