A form of mud-slinging used by supporters of a president that aims to mock their opposition. "President Derangement Syndrome" is the argument that the very existence of said president makes their opposition irrationally angry and unable to think of a legitimate reason for their contempt of said president.
When used in a sentence, the word "President" is replaced with the actual president's surname; for example, if this argument were to be used against those who were opposed to Barack Obama, it would be called "Obama Derangement Syndrome."

President Derangement Syndrome is commonly attributed to Donald Trump, leading to an erroneous belief that it started with his presidency; in fact, it started with George W. Bush -- "Bush Derangement Syndrome." Ironically, Bush wound up being quite possibly the most universally hated president in history, and his vice president became not only the most unpopular vice president of all time, but also one of the most unpopular U.S politicians EVER.
The phrase experienced a resurgence under Donald Trump due to him being the most utterly polarizing person in America, as well as the infamous meme "Luke Crywalker" where a woman screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as she hears the news of his inauguration. It proved to be such a commonly used argument by his supporters that it completely overshadowed its predecessor, especially because Trump isn't as universally hated as Bush, so it still holds up.

It was 1928 in this little s.p. alley when I became deranged one midnight eating salted butter and snickle cracks, giggling the holy giggle.

TURDS—Trump Unrequited Relationship Derangement Syndrome—isn’t just a joke; it’s a mirror held up to the bizarre, one-sided obsession some fans have with Donald Trump.
Including the tagline "he ain’t ever gonna love you back, boo" like in the example, combines political rhetoric with pop culture, referencing the iconic line from Beyoncé's "Single Ladies". This phrase emphasizes the unrequited nature of such devotion, suggesting that while supporters may idolize Trump, his feelings aren't reciprocated.
The derangement angle is where the TURDS start to hit the fan. Imagine being so fixated on someone that you lose sight of reality—whether it’s scrolling endless Twitter threads, crying over canceled rallies, or muttering his name under your breath like a lovesick teenager. It’s not just devotion; it’s obsession, and Trump’s narcissistic nature only fuels the fire. He’s the sun in this messed-up solar system, burning dimly orange but never actually seeing you orbiting around him.
And let’s face it: he ain’t ever gonna love you back, boo. Not really. Not in that way. But hey, at least you’ve got the satisfaction of knowing, with plenty of other TURDS out there, you’re not the only one obsessed.

Me: "TDS? Trump certainly has some sort of derangement syndrome, but you seem to have a bad case of the TURDS: He ain’t ever gonna love you back, boo."

A mental illness where a man (or in some cases, other women & gender identities ) become irritated and hostile by the mere presence or mention of a biological female, for various personal and/or cultural reasons.
For example, most 4chan and Roblox players suffer from Woman Derangement Syndrome. Such as thinking that all females are inherently “goonbait”.

Phrase: Used to describe a food that is not necessarily gross, but very bizarre.
Meatballs are not inherently gross, but the name and the thought of “meat” in ball form is very disturbing and deranged when thought about.

“Lasagna is so weird if you think about it, its just meat, sauce, and cheese separated into layers by slabs of pasta”
“Lasagna is a deranged food”

Edith Derangement Syndrome or (EDS) is an unhealthy association or symbiotic enabling relationship with the character Edith from Downton Abbey. EDS results in people dismissing Edith's clear character faults and borderline antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) because they empathize with the character to a harmful level. It is an extreme and often imagined form of middle-child syndrome.
We tried to have a rational conversation on an episode of Downton Abbey but a person suffering from Edith Derangement Syndrome (EDS) prevented this by dismissing whole cloth her clearly immoral actions because someone didn't give her enough attention.
