A trend started by My Chemical Romance/Fall out Boy fans. Apparently their fans "caught the emo" (aka turned emo) from Pete Wentz or Gerard Way.

Jack: Did you hear about Casey?

Jill: Yeah, I heard she caught the emo from Pete Wentz.

a term used to describe people who listens to emo,its technicaly wrong to call a person an emo,since emo is a kind of music(genre).

Me:Hey look at that emo-er,crying again.
Billy:Yeah I bet his girl dumped him again.
*Some guy:whats an emo-er?
Me:A guy who litens to emo.
*Some guy:Your supposed to call him emo.
Me:Oh,since when did humans become genre?

Emo Fight

An emo fight is intentionally a fight between two emos, except the aim of the fight is to see how much pain they can inflict on themselves instead of causing pain on their opponent.

Essentially, the opposite of a real fight.

Man I was walking down the street to find two emo's having an emo fight. I stood and watched in confusion.

emo girls: wear skinny jeans , die their hair sometime, use a straightener most of the time, has a emo haircut; making their hair look feathery and poofy useing a razor to cut most of their hair, like to listen to punk music like the bands like black veil brides ect, wear dark black eyeliner.

I do/am: i am emo I AM NOT a homo i dont like girls that way i find girls who do kinda weird ... i wear skinny skinny jeans i wear tight shirts with band names on them i love wearing dark black makeup, i love hanging out with my ture friends i have a emo haircut; a frinage feathery poofy haircut, i am getting my cartliage pireced i dont dye my hair but my hair is nautarl blech blonde i have long extensions, i do cut , but not all emo people do, i am a really nice girl if u get to know me i usaually dont say the first word when i met a person but i will if i like them and want to get to know them, i am 13 years old and i love who i am! some people dont and they bully me this is why i have become emo it got so bad ... remeber when u bully it may look like your not hurting them but u r..... if u dont have any thing good to say dont say anything!

emo boys

emo boys are very hott! they listen to bands like my chemical romance, hawthorne heights, the used and so on. they wear tight girl pants and band tees. their hair is amazing, usually jet black with some dyed bits, usually red or blue, it covers most of their face in bangs and the back is short and spiky. they are boys in touch with their more feminine side and show their emotions unlike all the boys who think they are so macho. many say they cut and cry about their ex gfs, at least they can get girlfriends, and not all emos cut. they hang around in groups and are very friendly people, most of them very happy to be who they are. do not make the mistake of calling them goths, they wont like you for that. emo guys do make out with other emo guys but it doesnt mean theyre gay or bi. emo guys are not afraid to say they love you and show it.

person 1: hey did you see those emo boys making out!
person 2: yeah they are sooo gay!
person 3: no theyre not, that one has a girlfriend!
person 1: how does he get so many?
person 3: because he cares about them.
