The polar opposite of a female's bubbly smile. It's the grown-up version of the stern look a mom gives a child meaning 'I am displeased'. In the grown up version it's more like 'I am not amused'. Also, it can simply be a relaxation of the happy face a woman puts on for people who matter. This becomes more and more the case with greater age and less make-up.
