Perhapsually

Part of Speech: Adverb / Slang

Definition: A vague, noncommittal way to describe spending time with someone, especially in a low-stakes dating or flirty context. Combines perhaps and casually. Can refer to a low-effort hang—like grabbing coffee, going on a walk, or sitting on the same couch “just watching something”—where the vibe is intentionally undefined. It's not a date, but also… maybe?

Used when: You’re not trying to DTR (Define The Relationship). Could be friends, could be more. Definitely not a big deal—just perhapsual
Example 1:
“Dude you gonna ask her out?”
“Perhapsually.”

Example 2:
“Are you two a thing?”
“We hang out. Go to farmer’s markets, watch Netflix. It’s perhapsual.”

Example 3: “I thought you were dating?”
“We’re not dating dating. It’s more perhapsual.”
