The nickname of the defense used by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970's. This defense was consistently the best in the league in yards allowed, points allowed, and rushing yards allowed. A new version of the Steel Curtain can be viewed by trotting over to Heinz Field on a sunday afternoon.
