One of the most overrated bands ever.They are rated #7 on the greatest hard-rock artists of all time leaving behind Deep Purple,Pink floyd,Guns N,Roses,Cream,Ozzy.That is of course not so.They should be like # 80-90.

Nirvana

A band that was led by an emotionally disturbed heroin addict with serious image problems, with a seven foot tall Serbian kid on bass, and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters kick ass!) on drums. They gained popularity by playing slightly more 'popular' type music, and once everyone was listening, they switched to playing what they really loved - coarse, rough grunge with messed up lyrics. Nirvana was probably one of the greatest bands to surface after the revival of the sixties and seventies ran out of steam. A band who's music was so good, they didn't need 'deep' or 'meaningful' lyrics. People, it was just Kurt screaming into the mic about his girl problems and stuff he saw during acid trips. Stop trying to find meaning in music, and just chill!

Nirvana was a cool band. Why the fuck did Kurt Cobain have to shoot himself?

Nirvana

Nirvana was a band that the Seattle grunge scene produced in the early-1990s. Although they were often thought of as popular awesome gods, they are really just a terrible band led by the blubbering and incomprehensible (and now deceased) Kurt Cobain, who blew his brains out in 1994. The Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl, now has a successful project with the Foo Fighters and also Probot.

I thought Nirvana was awesome, and then I just realized Kurt Cobain's lyrics fucking sucked. So now I listen to the Smashing Pumpkins.

A band that you don't know shit about, and you don't understand. You pretend to like them but you can't even GRASP what Kurt Cobain stood for. You think you're hardcore because you own the Bleach LP while I own a first print. While playing Bleach, you beat your girlfriend or make fun of a homosexual. Go back to listening to your shitty Poison or Guns and Roses, n00b.

Nirvana is MY favourite band because they mean a lot to ME.
I can't claim that they are the best band in the world because that's only MY opinion. Some other guy might come along and say: "Dude my favourite band is Good Charlotte!" and it's totally okay.
You're all a bit dumb, sorry. :-( It's totally relative.
Wheter you like NIrvana or not.

In my eyes they're one of the best bands ever. A band that changed the late eighties and early ninethies. It's a shame that they had to become so mainstream, but that's what happened.
I love Kurt Cobains voice and his lyrics, eventhough he said that most of them didn't mean much to him.
Officially, bandleader Kurt Cobain commited suicide in 1994, but there are a lot of rumours around his death.
Some fans hate his wife Courtney Love, some like her, some just don't know what to think about her. (So do I)

Nirvana is NOT better then bla bla bla or bla bla bla.
