Naked Idealism

The act of defining and pursuing one's true dreams, especially those outside the societal norm, in an authentic, energetic and powerful manner. Also includes relating to other people and the world in a sustainable and just way. This definition was coined by the book of the same name, popular among progressive-minded and creative people.
Shirley exhibited naked idealism when she left her accounting job to pursue her long-neglected dream of becoming an environmental advocate and music performer.

The way blue collar folks from New York City, the Hudson Valley, Stamford/Greenwich, and some parts of western Fairfield County say "idea". Often pronounced this way by the working class Polaks, Italians, and Irish of the area.
