When a person who offers a romantic gesture is rejected but quickly recovers by saying they only meant it as friends.

Man: Hey, I'd love to fly out to see you this weekend.
Woman: I'm sorry, I'm not interested and prefer to be single.
Man: Jeez, I only meant to catch up as friends, but if you don't want to see me..

He gave me the hard sell to go out with him but when I said no, he hit me with the rejection backhand.

Financial rejection

Friday Detention

Friday Detention happens on a Friday when students attending High School happens to commit certain offenses like a forged note, truancy, skipping (or to be removed from) office detention, leaving school grounds, insubordination, impersonation, cell phone violations. Typically, Friday Detention starts five to fifteen minutes after school, and does not end until dinner time.

In Gorham HS, Friday Detention starts at 14:15 (2:15 pm) on Friday after school and ends at 17:30 (5:30 pm).
