1. Doing something spontaneous and regrettable for the fun, excitement, or thrill of it.
2. A phrase that encourages one to do whateverthefvck because they’re the main character of their story.

1. As a bi-curious dude, I kept texting my gay fwb for the plot, even though I should have blocked him after he revealed his toxic traits.
2. Alicia Marquez: Girlypop, get with that manneee… do it for the plot!

“2024 the plot” is a play on words meaning “202(4/for) the plot”. Its origins began on TikTok and It’s used as a non-spiritual manifestation for a great year. People believe that 2024 is going to be similar to 2016 or 2019 in terms of vibes, happiness, and prosperity. People also believe that 2024 will bring new people and experiences in their lives that will thicken the metaphorical plot.
“God, I can’t wait for 2023 to be over.”
“Right? I’m going to be doing so many 2024 the plot (2024theplot) things!”
“Same! This year is going to be like 2016 or 2019; I can just feel it!”
“Mhm, there are going to be such good vibes, I’ll meet new people, and I’ll experience new things!”

plot armor is when a scriptwriter/author/anyone composing a story is clearly keeping a certain character/idea alive despite many situations where said thing would've perished given normal circumstances and logic. Normally it's because it's a main character and/or important further in the story and/or if said character is the author's favorite.
Alternatively, the term is often used in real life to refer to a person/thing that miraculously survived a situation that would otherwise prove harmful/fatal

I was reading this book and the main character has got to have plot armor... He was in a fight against 6 guys each twice his size and he somehow won!
'Guys, I just fell down 3 flights of stairs and I'm completely fine!'
'how'd you manage that?!'
'I must have plot armor...'

The inability to, or refusal to consume media after having first hand experience with the scenarios, equipment, tactics etc, depicted on screen, as media depictions are often unrealistic, used improperly, or are exaggerated to the point of cringe inducing.
My buddy Steve can't watch most war movies anymore. Not because of PTSD but because they inevitably set off his plot sensitivity.
