Tired phrase that is over used in the business world to describe dire or crucial needs. This term gained wide use starting in the mid-1990s and really should go away.

Get the criticistic mug.One of the greatest animated sitcoms ever, that sadly only lived to see two seasons. Created by Al Jean and Mike Reiss, two of the head writers of The Simpsons, the series starred Jon Lovitz as Jay Sherman, a fat film critic with very high standards that causes him to give bad reviews to practically every movie he reviews. The series was also known for it's jokes about pop culture, politics, and practically everything else about life back in the mid-90s
The first season aired on ABC in 1994, was cancelled after the end of the season, but picked up by FOX for season 2 in 1995, which saw a rise in viewership, but ultimately ended in cancellation as well (plans for a third season on UPN fell through, though a series of internet shorts were made in 2000).

Get the The Critic mug.A broad term encompassing numerous variants and 'dialects'. Citispeak is a group of modern hybrid 'languages' born from the amalgamation of numerous traditional tongues. These strange conconctions are thought to result from rapid immigration into crowded urban areas. Components of the mother tongue of these migrants were assimilated by the local populus and merged with colloquial slang etc. to produce 'citispeak'.
One of the most famed examples is that of 'Gaff' a character in Ridley Scott's 'Blade Runner' motion picture, whose citispeak is a mixture of languages including fragments of hungarian.
