the equivalent of saying "catch up" or "acquaint yourself". taken from Wayne's World, when Wayne tells his delusional ex girlfriend to "get the net"
"Wayne I love you"
"We broke up already, get the net"
"Hey wanna come to a party?"
"I don't like you or any of your friends, get the net.

The amount of net dollars you own is how much money you have after factoring in how much money you owe people and how much money is owed to you.
Alright class, today's math problem:
You have twelve dollars in your wallet and none in your bank account. If owe Jerry seven dollars for buying you condoms, and Greg owes you ten dollars for spotting him for his girlfriend, how many net dollars do you own?

Any kind of shorts that has a "net", or netting, inside it. It can be found in most board shorts.
The netting is used because sometimes, the elastics can show, or the boxer shorts might be longer.
It also holds your junk in place so that it won't fall out of the leg opening or bounce around. It also acts like loose briefs, so you don't have to wear underwear (if preferred).
