Get the Best Friend mug.A term used to describe a two people - regardless of either person's gender - that really want to be together and/or have sex with each other, but can't because one or both of the participants sexuality prevents it, and both parties are respectful of the other's orientation. Expressions people use to show that they are best friends include but are not limited to: Holding hands, ass-slapping, platonic-open-mouth tongue kissing, breast-squeezing, platonically sharing nudes, etc.

John: "Hey Kate! I heard Ashley sent you nudes! Are you two lesbians?"
Kate: "Oh, no! It's not even like that. We're just best friends - I still like guys!"
John: "Oh, bummer."
