When you start 'talking' to someone but you realize you're really not interested, so you 'slowly fade' out of the relationship and then out of their life.

Girl 1: What happened to that guy you were talking to?
Girl 2: He was really annoying, I pulled a slow fade.

One can substitute the name of one's local hospital for "hospital." ex. Sacred Heart faded
