When an individual decides to take a shit early in the day because taking a shit later will prove to be very difficult. The person doesn't necessarily have to shit, but only does so because it is beneficial.

Sam: Where's Chris?

Steve: Well, Chris is having dinner with his girlfriend's parents after the football game. After that he's working the night shift bartending, so he's taking a strategic shit right now.

straddle shit

Arrangement where two people shit into a toilet simultaneously. One person sits on the toilet with their legs spread apart. The second person straddles over the first person, positioning their ass over the hole created by the first person's legs.

Artie and Ron both had to shit quickly but only one toilet was available. Artie then suggested they straddle shit so that neither shits his names.
