Fletcher is one of the best people to be friends with. They usually have long blonde hair, likes mythical creatures such as dragons and goblins, and is overall one of the nicest people on earth. If a girl falls for a fletcher, there is no getting them back. So be careful about that. Fletchers can also be a bit weird and pervy. But they're great to hang out with. If a fletcher is your friend, you are very lucky. If a fletcher loves you, never let him go.
Person 1: look, its fletcher!
Person 2: wow, he's so cool! We should ask if we can hang out with him.
Person 1: alright come on! Let's go ask!

Also referred to "Fletchy" or "Fletch" for short, refers to someone (typically female) who is perceived as preppy,(usually on a sport, cheer, basketball, etc.) but is constantly listening to depressing music and drinking.
I wonder if Amara is a Fletcher... She kinda looks sad all the time even though she's in with the cool kids.

when you meet a fletcher you’ll know. their smile and jokes will have the room burst into laughter. they care a lot for other people but also love being selfish. they don’t think their words through and often times stumble on themselves but always mean well. they will always realize how badly they messed up once the deed is done. despite their flaws, they are the kind of people who make it hard not to love. their love isn’t something that is easy to tear away from because they not only show you they love you but you can physically feel the love they have for you. they are someone worth sticking around for if they have grown enough to see past themselves.

Faking an injury in order to not be bested by someone younger and more skilled than you. This is the most shameful way of faking an injury and is practiced routinely by PolySci majors who run Cross-Country.
Ryan: Oh my God I think I broke my ankle!
Cody: Are you sure you're not just "Pulling a Fletcher" so that you don't look bad when you lose the race?
Ryan: Of course not! Look, you can see the bone!
Cody: You don't even sound believable.
