Delusional dally

delusional dally (verb, informal, sarcastic)
1. To make bold or baseless claims in an argument, only to retreat, deflect, or vanish once confronted with facts.
• “He started ranting about flat earth theories, but the moment I showed him photos from space, he pulled a delusional dally.”
2. To waste time in debate by clinging to false beliefs without genuine intent to engage or defend them.

3. Can be recognized as a “social dance move” - “He hit the delusional dally — step one: make a wild claim, step two: dodge the facts, step three: disappear like it never happened.”
1. “Careful, he’s about to hit the Delusional Dally — watch for the insult before the exit.”

2. “Go ahead, hit your Delusional Dally, I’ll wait.”

3. “This is where you throw the insult and vanish, right? Classic Delusional Dally.”

5. “I see the Bold Step, the Spin is coming… wanna skip straight to the Delusional Dally exit?”

6. “You’re not debating, you’re dancing — straight into a Delusional Dally.”
