Debate

Organized, formal, arguement, usually held between two or more people to make their beliefs known and convince an audience to support their beliefs. More effective than one-sided discussions because both strengths and weaknesses of the ideologies in question are revealed.

a group of intellectual students from mast academy who organized a debate team in order to go country wide and spread knowledge on any subject...

parent: so son what did u do in school today?
student: it was so exciting i joined a club

LD Debate

LD Debate is sometimes also called values debate because it traditionally places a heavy emphasis on logic, ethical values, and philosophy. It is a type of American high school one-on-one debate practiced in National Forensic League competitions.

It's a type of debate that is most definitly greater then the inferior type of debate, policy debate.

In LD people have break time between debates to improve their arguments, and discuss things with teammates.

Also, LDers are just cooler, because they shorter speeches, and prep time, so people have to think faster on their feet.

Absolute waste of life. Manfiestation of all that is the ivory-tower intellectual. It may be named policy debate, but the argumentation contributes nothing to any policy in the real world.

can be used as a synomyn to "poof". means to disappear suddenly without explianation. Some see devasting as magic.
