The Beatles

A band I find to be one of the best bands in history. I understand why some may not like them, especially those who like metal.

Comprised of John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney, this band took rock and pop to a whole new level in the 60's, 70's and 80's. They're one of the most known names in music.
RIP John Lennon and George Harrison, the memory of the Beatles will never be the same without you

The Beatles

an amazing band that only little fags that think 50 cent, eminem and akon are the best thing to happen to music tend to dislike. seen as overated by fans of cliff richard, the beach boys and american faggot bands that tend to moan about how there so called tears "crash" as they hit some random object.
person 1 "the beatles are overated"

The Beatles

My favorite band. It doesn't have to be yours, but it's mine.
When I listen to them, I feel my mind clear. They're respected by many for a reason though. The harmonies are brilliant, sometimes similar to the Beach Boys (who are also awesome).
Some people think they're over-rated, and that people only like them because they're told it's good. I liked the Beatles songs before I knew the name of the band.

I love them.
I like the Beatles - I never said you had to, but don't knock it until you try it.

Technically speaking, the idiots above are somewhat correct. The Beatles were a middle man in influencing modern rock, albiet a very important middle man. Early blues musicians from America were the true influential backing for most of the 60's and 70's. BUT, the Beatles were the first band to truly take the bluesy sound and transform it into what we see as modern rock. you can even track this progression through their discography, each album growing more like rock, and with a more bluesy background. Now the persons above do not seem to realize just how pivotal a role this was. No one had ever before done anything like this. This paved the way for such groups as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and the like. The Beatles music in general may be slightly overated (although i do not belive so) BUT the musical importance of it is in NO way overated, it was such an enormously pivotal role in the transition from early rock to what is now called modern rock it is hard to imagine what would be considered modern rock if fate had not brought together some of the most musically talented individuals the 60's, or the 20th century for that matter, saw.
Backwoods guitar to Blues to The Beatles to Rock, yes, evolution does in fact exist.

The Beatles

What can you say about the best band in the history of the everything? There were "one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music", (Wikipedia) but they were more than that. They inspired people everywhere with messages to "Let it Be" and "Work it out". From 1962, the band consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
They all played a variety of instruments. Depending on the tone and beat of the song, either Paul or John would usually sing. The faster beat songs were generally John, and the slower, lovey songs were usually Paul. Some songs included the harmonica (played by John), so Paul usually sang those, but occasionally John would switch between vocals and harmonica, like in "I Should Have Known Better". George and Ringo had their share of songs, too. I think George's most famous song is "Here comes the Sun" and Ringo's most well-known is "Yellow Submarine".

The Beatles acted in two movies, chronologically, "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help". They performed select songs in both.

The world died a little inside when the Beatles disbanded in 1970. They all started solo careers; Paul starting Wings with his wife Lynda.

John was killed in 1980 by Mark David Chapman in front of his home, the Dakota, in New York; George died in 2001 from cancer. Paul and Ringo are still living to this day. Some people say that they're dying in order of talent, but I say that they each played a special and necessary part in the Beatles and were all equally influential in changing the world.

I love the Beatles. I'm just going to say that straight out right now, if you haven't already realized that. The Beatles changed the world with their influence. Beatles forever - Strawberry Fields Forever!

While they are quite incredible, saying that they are the best band of all time is an opinionated statement. Not everyone likes them and their opinions should be respected.
