Someone who overreacts to everything and thinks the only answer is bleach. Often think that there life sucks when they are usually privileged kids in the suburbs. Are annoying as fuck and always have to put it in your face that they are emo. There is a difference between a depressed or sad person than an emo

Emo teen: My life sucks! I want to drink bleach!
Normal Teen: Im sorry is there anything I can do to help?
Emo: You don't understand my struggles! I wan't to drink bleach! Everyone hates me(Mostly not true)

Bland, shallow corporatist pastiche of Punk that embodies non of the values or raw honest emotional integrity of Punk but continually dances on its grave non the less.. Strangely popular.

I just saw Emo kings My Chemical Romance advertise Guitar Hero on XBox Live Marketplace.. Man what a bunch of sellouts plus their music is really bland and doesn't connect with me on any emotional level at all

Emo

Originally started as a type of music genre, emo has evolved into a type of style for young teens. Many emo people are considored posers by people not in their cliques. Many people who considor themselves as emo are in fact not emo, but just favor the style. Posers who get a little carried away tend to cut themselves to show off how emo they are.
People who considor themselves emo are most likely not emo, unless you count what their friends say.
People who do NOT considor themselves emo are probably more emo than the other type of emo, who considor themselves emo.

REAL emo people most likely have depression disorders and mood problems.

Ex 1 (Poser Emo): Emo #1- Hey dude, your cuts make you look so emo right now.
Emo #2- I know, right?

Ex 2 (Emo): - Guy #1- Hey dude . . . are you emo?
Emo #1- I don't know . . . I don't really care. I'm just kind of depressed.
