House Arrest

When someone is placed under House Arrest it usually means that they are kept at their home for a set period of time and cannot leave their home; this is usually more Lenient than being sent to prison but places like China put political prisoners under permanent house arrest where they are patrolled 24/7 such as when Human Rights lawyer Chen Guangcheng was placed under permanent house arrest after suing the Chinese government over forced abortions, he later escaped his house and fled to the US consulate where an agreement was made to send him to the USA.
COVID-19/Wuhan Virus lockdowns have also been compared to house arrest such as the new Lockdown on Wales that was implemented in October 2020 which has also been described as Solitary Confinement.

I still cannot believe how blind, self-taught lawyer Cheng Guangcheng managed to escape his house arrest... I also still cannot believe how he is a strong supporter of the RNC and POTUS Donald J. Trump after seeing his speech at the RNC during the 2020 US Election

Sham house

A sham house is a house or home that is built to look like it has an abundance of square footage from the outside, but is actually quite small on the inside, like when the garage is attached and the garage door is not visible from the street, making the garage appear to be living space from the outside when it actually is just the garage.

"Wow, did you see Chuck's new house? I drove by it today and man, is it impressive! He must have like 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a game room in that thing!"

"Yeah, he invited me over when he first bought it, and its smaller than it looks. It's just a sham house. He calls it his palace, but I was like; "Yeah right, more like BuckingSHAM Palace.""

phone-house

To end a phone call by slamming it violently on the ground. The motion resembles how an NFL player spikes the football on the ground after scoring a touchdown. This action usually destroys the phone completely which is why it is such a rare and exciting event. Most likely derived from the football slang term pick-house.

"I knew Steve was completely wasted when he took his phone-house in the middle of the bar."

"I was so pissed when I found out she slept with Jake, that I took my phone-house."

A toilet. Archaic slang. This term is a somewhat old-fashioned one, being used by mainly English literature and History students of the pretentious type.

hippie house

An exceedingly dirty dwelling inhabited by at least four dirty people who never clean up after themselves. Often accompanied by trailers, vans, buses, a yurt, or any other thing they can attempt living in to, and using the main house for the bathroom or kitchen. It's an unclean hell and you don't want to live there.

Jane will be living in the bus, but for now she's sleeping in the living room of the hippie house.
