Probably originating in California in the 1980's this is not a strict word definition, but rather the art of phrasing the beginning AND ending of a question or request with the pronoun "dude", hence becoming the proverbial bread that contains the subject matter. Also called a California sandwitch, although nothing to do with aformentioned Simpson's baby eating definition.

"Dude are we going to Del Taco, dude?" ie. a dude sandwich

Cream Cheese Sandwich
