The act of going to someone else's residence and purposefully driving up the cost of their bills.

Not to be confused with bill rocketing, which is accidentally or ignorantly driving up bills.

Phil is causing a major bill busting problem. He keeps leaving everyone's water running!

The act of carelessly driving up someone's bills. Can be a side effect of someone mining crypto at your house, flushing the toilet a lot, using your internet, etc..

When done with the intent to drive up someone's bills, referred to as bill busting.

Phil: One of my friends keeps mining crypto at my house!
Sarah: Sounds like you've got an issue with bill rocketing.
