Multi-functional word to either describe a successfully executed joke or give that small nudge that a nearly laughter-worthy joke needs to push it into the cusp of laughter (otherwise called an "assist"). This is also most powerful when used audibly to counter the voices in your head with something out of left field, so to speak.

Tom: "Those vagabonds camping over there really live inTENTs lives..."

Crickets: "Hilario!"

The Watchers (speaking in EMF): "sssssssss....EEEEEE.....EYEEEEEE..."

like Its counterpart “Hilarious”. There is a notably distinct difference between being Hilarious & Higarious, Being Higarious requires a person to be naturally funny by being their weird selves (neurodivergence included)
