A totally undisguised fart, a proud display of arse trumpetting that causes whatever the giver is sitting on to reverberate like a car driving on the rumble strip of a motor-way. The best exponents can deliver a sound also similar to tyres on a rumble strip.

Brian was on the sofa the other night when he produced a grumble strip of such magnitude that his mrs shot her bolt in the excitement.
