Get the STIP Workmug. “Government work” is what one does for oneself in a shop on company time using company tools, machinery and materials. “Government work” “hides” the fact that you are stealing company resources by implying that it’s a secret, off the books, project. But since everyone knows what “government work” means you really aren’t hiding anything, you’re sharing an inside joke.
When someone says “that’s good enough for government work,” they are admitting that they are doing less than perfect work because it’s just for their personal use.

Worker 1: It looks like a part for your new motorcycle.
Worker 2: I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you.

Chorus: A hammer from the store?
Person: A hammer she wanted, nailed she got!
Chorus: Oh I used to work in Chicago in an old department store, i used to work in Chicago I don't work there anymore.

Cindy: "I'm so over my farting, snoring husband, but I need him. How about you?"
Jelissa: "Well I have no problems. I lined up a guy via Internet dating from the other side of the world, he knocked me up so I could have my baby and he's out of sight, out of mind. He pays me child support off the record out of guilt, and I get special single mother benefits. Then I married Enrique, but divorced him after four years for a payout and alimony. These days I just do what I want!"
Cindy: "Wow, you have it all worked out, don't you?"
