A not-date is a sad excuse for people who can't decide whether they are going to get some or not. Often misused for DWOB.

cafeteria speed date

A cafeteria speed date is comprised of three main steps:
1. Man/woman walks into a cafeteria/diner/eatery
2. Man/woman sits down with a person sitting alone
3. Man/woman has a conversation with that person as if on a date
Although awkward at first, this method of meeting people may sometimes be bold enough to work.

(Man sits down across from unsuspecting woman)
Man: "I know what you're thinking... But before you tell me to scram, I just wanna say that this is my first cafeteria speed date and you looked like you could use some company. What do you say?"
Woman: "(hesitates...) Uhh okay, I have a few minutes. What's your name?"

When you make plans with someone but your not really sure if its considered a date.

Person 1: Hey lets meet up at Hogwarts this Saturday.
Person 2: Ok that sounds great.
Person 1: Ok Ill pick you up at 5
Person 2: Ok! Its a plan-date!

Same-date

Same-dating occurs when the two individuals in a couple each have dated an ex-girlfriend/ex-boyfriend who are now currently dating each other. When this occurs, each member (of the two couples) has same-dated every other member in the group.

Guy: "Hi honey, did you hear that my ex-girlfriend, Stacy is dating your ex-boyfriend Kevin?"

Girl: "Ewwww! I can't believe I same-dated Stacy!"

Guy: "Yeah, and now I'm eskimo brothers with Kevin!"
