In lieu of goofing off at work, this is the act of actually avoiding the office all together to go golf. This is typically misrepresented as client or employee development. If consistently done with the same group it is referred to as a Strategic Networking Alliance Group (SNAG). Most commonly used by management and outside sales.

Has anyone seen Chuck and Chip today?

Gooning

To drive around for no reason at all, mostly because you are bored, or because you just want to listen to music(because everybody knows music is better in a vehicle). There is no specific location to go, so you waste your gas driving around town.

Mom: "Where are you going?"
Travis: "Gooning."
Mom: "Oh okay."

Driving around the same part of town.
Man: "I've seen that car drive by 7 times already."
Woman: "Man, they're gooning!"

Back from driving for an hour.
Mom: "Where did you go?"
Travis: "Gooning."
Mom: "Where?"
Travis: "...Gooning..."
