A gamer is a person who plays video games and is split into 2 categories.

1.Casual gamer-applies to people who occasionally plays mobile games (angry birds,temple rush) or rarely plays PC games (CSGO,GTA5,LOL) they typically dont know much about video games in general

2.Hardcore gamer-applies to people who often play and commit to video games on PC or any other console and are well versed and passionate about video games

My sister plays candy crush on her phone every so often she's just a casual gamer.

That dude just grinded 3 hours to get that rare item he is a hardcore gamer.
