When you go to cook up some potatoes but you forgot what potatoes are and you think they are poisonous you don't cook or eat them and after a while they grow so big that the house explodes.

Something not everybody does, no matter how much they're encouraged to.

The reason tomorrow is just another game to change for him/her is that he/she wants people to forget the who, what, where, when, and why of what happened today (because he/she thinks it's a game to everyone involved). If you go back far enough, he/she wants you to forget what he/she was really like as a kid, versus his/her image today, despite him/her always telling people to be themselves.
